Quite some time ago, someone asked me a question about how the 'Red Rock' came to be. I remember smiling fondly because the name was based almost exclusively upon a red chair that my son had absolutely adored when he was little. That, and the fact that we were looking at Red Cliff when we were discussing our plans!
While I wanted to open a traditional Newfoundland restaurant (first came the Rock part) - my wife had other plans (then came the Red)!
We have managed to meet somewhere in the middle and offer a menu that is comprised of fresh, locally-sourced products, traditional comforts, and even a few surprises here and there. A sort of Newfoundland-Fusion if you will.
